The ParaDrone features foldable landing gear and a removable prop-guard.

This autonomous, self-propelled paraglider is a novel research platform capable of navigating aerial space with high stability and long endurance. The ParaDrone features an array of applications, ranging from exploration to post-disaster reconnaissance. It flies suspended from a parafoil or canopy that can be folded for storage and unfolded for deployment. Furthermore, the ParaDrone is safe and survivable in case of engine failure because it can continue a stable gliding flight without thrust, providing more time to find a safe landing spot.
